Subversion Repo for PIC code

In the coming weeks I will create a public repository for the PIC code that you can tie in with MPLAB. I'm in the process of downloading Fedora 9 today and for those of you who would like to view the code or participate in developing with Kormatics the door will be open.

It's going on my To do list. Bear with me.

Update

I just purchased the latest version of the CCS compiler (PCWHD) for doing PIC development with the C language. I had an older version that I purchased about three years ago, but it was a limited copy. The PCWHD is a major step forward from the old PCH compiler and it supports all versions of the PIC MCU. This upgrade should make for a better development environment and help speed up development for my current and future PIC projects. I recommend you check out the CCS compiler and other products that they sell on their website at www.ccsinfo.com.

PIC Development Commences!

Development Board

The image above is a diagram that showcases the many features on a board that I recently created. The process took well over a year, and thanks to delays that were contributed by my work schedule, surgery in the summer, and just plain old fatigue, I never fully tested the board, nor did I accomplish what I originally set out to do; design the Firmware. In an effort to help those who want to learn more about PIC development, I'm turning this project into an open source endeavour. Therefore my end product (which I will continue to conceal from the rest of the world, until I'm finished) will be based on all the code that I present here on the Klog. You're more than welcome to use this code for your own projects, but please, I do ask that you keep the header in its original format. If you add something to the code, then place your name in the revision list (source header) and pass along these rules to the next person or persons that you hand your code to (assuming you want to do that). Regardless, over the next year, this board will have to come to life, one way or another. I will fully document my successes and pitfalls (hopefully these are just a few, remember, it is a prototype board) and share documents, articles, pictures, anything and everything to help you get one step closer to being a full time PIC developer.
